I just came back from my job interview at best buy. im kind of iffy about it. i was very nervous (like I am in every interview) and blah!
but some good things that happened were the guy interviewing me, remembered me from the job fair last year, which is good… at least I made some sort of impression. and the other employees were joking that I looked like him :-\
but he said it was the easiest interview hed ever had, because I wasnt talking about me enough. i kept going blank… so I think that may have screwed me over.
he said they will interview more people, and call within 48hours. if they dont, they give to someone else. but I have the biggest feeling that I didnt get it. ;(
The interview process can be hairy, we all freeze up. Noone is that good at talking about themselves and thier accompleshments when you are under the gun like that.
I have this “meh” attitude during interviews, probably because I’m burning from nervousity inside. Anyway, after my first interview ever, they invited me back to tell me that I could start. I was happy and everything, until I heard how much they were going to pay me. I laughed in the guy’s face.
He: “Er, what? Not good?”
Me: “Well, I don’t want to sound rude or anything, but no. I earned more money in one month doing my vacation job, and this without having a degree.”
He: “Oh. Well, how much more are we talking about?”
Me : [told him the amount]
He: “I see. But you get a cell phone here…”
I couldn’t believe my ears. A cell phone?! So what?! Even if it was a fancy one (which was not), I think the guy was a total dork. Now I’m working in a company where I don’t have to do anything (which is boring) and still earn more than the other place.
Ahem, yes… I felt like sharing this, that’s all
Don’t give up & all the best! :thumb:
