Blue screen of death

Ok im trying to download some wow patches and i can’t because ever time i open up the patch downloader after a couple of minutes i get a BSOD saying something went wrong with afd.sys and that its dumping the files… anyone experience this or no how to stop it, ive never had this problem before and its pissing me off =(
