"Bookmark This Site" using Flash 5

Hi!

Just wondering if any of you guys have done something like a button in a flash movie, when its clicked, it will add the current site to the bookmark (or Favourites) section of the browser.

And another button (“Send This Link To A Friend”), which is able to startup the user’s default Mail Application, and send a link of the website to the user’s friend. I saw someone using JavaScript to do this, but I was wondering if this can be done using ActionScript.

To bokmark, you have to use Javascript. To start the user’s mail application, you have to

getURL("mailto:ilyas@blabla.com");

Hi, thanks for ur reply! I’ve incorporated your actionScript into my site. But the thing is, sigh, I’m a complete ‘Muggle’ (outsider) when it comes to JavaScript. Anyone can help this poor muggle on the JavaScript I can use to activate a add to bookmark command?
