I know this probably won’t be popular. But Borland’s new version of JBuilder has just been released. In my opinion it’s the best IDE for Java. It’s expensive but it’s worth it. (Especially if you are in High School or College and have student discount rights.)
Oooh that looks awesome. But last year my university used JBuilder 3 University. I mean, it works and all, and I agree that the newer JBuilders have a lot of extra things we didn’t use and they do seem to be slower (at least on my machine). But come on, this is cooler! I’m gonna try and get it for out of school use.
Yes, JBuilder does have some seriouse startup and loading problems. Hopefully they fixed this, now there is a win version, solaris version, etc all seperate instead of one program going cross platform. (all those operating systems in one)
