Bought a new book

hey guys i just got back from borders and i purchased this book called Learning Maya 5

and ive got to say that im am very happy with it so far, this books is a must have for a person that has never used a 3D program before. I was looking for a 3D Studio Max boo but there was none that took you from the ground up in terms of actually explaining the the menu system and modeling, animating, rendering and working with particle effects oh and to make it even better the book contains a 4 hour DVD training movie, just wish i had found a 3D studio book though so i couldve used it with the swift 3d plugin and use it in flash oh well :-
but im still excited that im finally going to learn a real 3d app not jsut swift which is great btw :beam:

yeah, there are a rare few books that actually go into detail without leaving a beginner hanging. Good luck with Maya, it’s a good program. It made Final Fantasy (spirits within), Ice Age, to name a few.

thanks ill be posting my progress as i read through this baby and watch the video of course ill keep you guys posted, now if only i had more time :-\ but hey i finish college next month so ill be having lots o free time again yay :beam:
