Breaking up

I have a menu bar that i made in fireworks. WHen I import it into dreamweaver everything looks great. When i put content into the text area (on the right) the left side of the screen breaks apart (because of the size of the content on the right side)

I added an additional slice on the right side bottom which i put an editable region into and inserted a table into which ive been changing the pixel size to keep everything together above it.

My question is, is there any way to stop this from happening, or is there a way to have this compensated automatically?

Thank you

hmm, I got a little lost there, would it be too big to post in a zip file?

i can send you a link to it.
[http://www.co.nassau.ny.us/clerk/flash/index.html]it is going to be changing a lot today, so you may see it broken up or you may not
but the nav bar is on the left (which is breaking up at the slices) when content goes into my body area, if the body text is bigger than the nav bar, it breaks apart.

put a valign=top inside of that <d . Also make sure that DW has not stuck one of the 1px high td in there.

another thing you can try is to put that gradient image as the bgrd of that cell with a background-repeat: no-repeat; in its style property.

Im gonna try that, i see where youre going. but i still need the slices to set up the menu. I thought i had all the cells valign=top, but even still once the content in the right area gets bigger the cells i guess resize to … hmmm maybe i can set a static size for those… my brain hurts.

make sure there is also not a transparent spacer in there. Also re-evaluate your tables I see some odd sizes in there that may be causing the problem
