I am trying to build a gallery very similar to something like this:

Scroll further down to the screenshots section. The page does not need to reload and when you click on a thumbnail, the main image area changes. Does anyone know which programming language is used to build the gallery and what the gallery technique is called? Knowing how to achieve this would be great.
