Forgive me if there are similar threads on this. My novice abaility prevents me from understanding jargon and thus doing effective searches.
I have copied a code from another website for button linking, and put that code in actionsrcipt 3.0 for a flash file, empty except for a button. When I view that flash file, if i click the button, it works perfectly!
However, I am now building a transitioning flash file, with multiple layers. On different layers there are different buttons. When I submit the actionscript 3.0 code I used in the previous document - and change it for my new instance button name, the button does not seem to work?
I am novice, but I can not see what I am doing differently.
Can someone help/offer advice?
I’d be willing to email someone the file to see what I am doing wrong, only if someone could be gracious enough to spare me 2 minutes!!
