What would be an effective but fairly manageable way for a novice with AS2.0 to create the navigation functionality of something like this – http://www.jaquesvanzo.com/
In essence, what I am looking to learn is how to maintain the states of the buttons (when clicked, it stays on until clicked again, and if any other buttons are clicked, it collapses back to its native state). This might be related to my earlier post from yesterday, but the logic of how the two are inter-connected escapes me.

PS: Im also wondering how the animation on the Contact page of that site might be scripted. Is that just a class with a movement function, which is then assigned to each object inside the stage?
