Ok with the release of Battle Field 2 I have decided that I want a new gaming system ASAP, by mid next week.
I am hoping that I can get one to play with all BF2 settings maxed.
However I am a little out of date with spec’s these days so I am hoping anyone that knows more than me can offer some advice.
ie, Should I go for a 3.0Ghz Smithfield, or 3.4Ghz Prescott 4 ?
Is the clock speed more important or the cache ?
Below is a list of parts that I have selected… I know how much they all cost on their own $4,200 AU, but I expect a discount for buying a complete system so I am going out now to get this quoted…
Any help on how to make it better would be appreciated… Obviously getting x2 7800 cards and running them SLI would rock, but I can’t afford that… so anything realistic… Ie: AMD over Intel ?
Or if there is somewhere else better to post this please advise… Thanks.
