C & C - flyer

Doing a series of flyers for a funky lounge / club - wanted to keep the same formatting / placement of repeat elements eg . logo address etc, and change the styling weekly.

Target audience - MTV / 20- 30’s , lounge, funk, rock.

Comments appreciated.

Not bad i like the first one the most…Both look awesome tho nice grungeness.

font in the second look odd- but nice

not sure the second one fits the bill. Doesn’t really say rock to me…a bit too polished. Don’t get me wrong I like it, just not sure if fits the spec

first one is bang on the spec though, very nice. Like the green, guy in chair, faded worn quality, it’s weird but it actually looks like the first one is printed on a piece of worn cloth…well done

good job :thumb:

totally agree all thanks

both look good, but the first one looks better:)
very nice effect on the second poster:)

Pixi, your work is top notch. You any good at more traditional work? (like wedding invitations:)) I might have to send you a boat load on money soon. I’d rather pay a Kirupian.:kommie:

Hi Defective  Muchos thanks for the Kudos (chest swells) - Check your PM

first one is great  love the color combo and the grunge look

i feel the same way. also, that guy’s arms and face just don’t say rock. it’s a really awkward looking shape he’s got there.

sweet, the first one KILLS the second one

Def. two very different looks that both work towards a particular audience, but I wouldn’t say they could target the same audience though…

Good stuff! :thumb:

I think you’re on the right track. Who says a style that doesn’t ‘feel’ quite right is not exactly what the client wants? I would just come up with a bunch of designs and let the client choose. They you will have a good idea of the style you should aim for.

I like the idea of keeping some of the elements, especially the corner cutout and logo. I would, however change the font between them, just so they can see a few different styles of text.

sometimes, i like a design alot so i present it to the client with two other designs that look like crap, then they pick the one i like by default…
