Can I open a FLASH 8 file in FLASH MX?

BOKKE is correct. However, it is possible (if the source file contains no content exclusive to Flash MX 2004 or above) to convert a Flash 8 file down to MX 2004 and then MX. This requires the use of Flash 8 and MX 2004, as each version can only save .fla files one version back.
