Can someone lend a hand?

I am wondering if anyone can help me with this…

I am very new flash, i only got it yesterday :smiley:

I want to create an animated background, with a picture going across from left to right, but i want the forground (a mailing list signup or such) to stay static, and the background only to move.

Also, can I loop the background, so theres no breaks in it, just continuous?
