Can you obtain files from a SWF file?

Just wondering if it’s possible to obtain the library files from a SWF file (mainly interested in image files)? IM working on a project and friend of mine emailed me the SWF file and I need to make some adjustments to the library files – to make it better he went out of town for two weeks :sigh: . Anything I can do?

sure there is, there are some nice programs that can get images, sounds, shapes, even actionscript out of swf’s, some of them are:

swf-decompiler (best there is)
swf-browser (little bit outdated)
