All my content comes from a textfile. I want to be able to search that textfile and display a result. Is this possibe?
i would use PHP to search the text file and then call it into Flash.
hmm. i cant find much on this. i am definatly not a php pro
can you give me more info and I will try to give ya a hand…
ok well first off, thanks you been a big help as of late. here’s what i need to do. i am doing a site that is all information on federal forms and things like that. i have my inteface with my conent window in the middle. my content window is a text box which reads from a text file. on my main interaface i woudl like to have a search box which searches the textfile and outputs a result… i knwo you can do this easily with asp and a db but i want to have my whole site in flash, and i would liek to keep the scripting outside of flash minimal as this is already a large project
thanks
what exactly are you searching for? a particular string? any extra information you can give me would be helpful…
