Can't Import PNG's AHHHHHHHHHHH

I can’t import PNG files. Every time i try it gives me this error and shuts down.

AppName: flash.exe AppVer: 6.0.4.0 ModName: fireworks importer.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.0 Offset: 00112d72

Does any body know anything about this or how to fix this? I can import JPG’s but not PNG’s and i realy realy need to import PNG’.:a: :m: :m:

restart? reinstall? by the sounds of it, something was moved/deleted.

I’ve located the dll file. I tried removing it but same error. I put it back and same error. :m:

Can some kind person send me a copy of there dll file

fireworks importer.dll

should be in a locatoin similar to this
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX\First Run\Importers

I want to swap in another one and see what happens. Maybe this file has been corupted and a clean one will fix the problem.

are you sure the error is not in the PNG file? :slight_smile:

Nope every PNG i try gives the same thing. huhhh guess i’ll have to reinstal my whole OS. :frowning:

can you make a dummy PNG and let me try importing, maybe you wouldn’t have to reformat :slight_smile:

try downloading the file > right clicking the png file from the library > properties > import > and change the path to your own file :slight_smile:

ya this was jsut a test image. The one i really need to import is form the stretched skin thread.
