The internet needs a new way to beat computers. OCR is readily getting better, and captchas are readily getting harder. It took three tries for my dad and I to get him a Gmail account because of the indecipherable captchas.
I know there was a thread at some point where a bunch of guys tried to devise a solution, and I figured I’d revive the effort. I’m not sure the Q+A method works, because if that were to catch on, it’d be beaten even easier than captchas currently are.
And before someone inevitably screams recaptcha: as long as OCR continues getting better, recaptcha (though innovative) falls under the umbrella of all captchas, and as such is incapable of verifying the integrity of the client.
La la la!
