YOU CANT FIRE ME!..I QUIT!!!

hmmmmmmm

actually Phil…

I think you are talking about the front struts which are in the up position, as they would be if you were to drive away.

What this looks like to me, is an actual accident. The truck driver had disconnected the 5th wheel, then put the truck in R by accident, and the trailer just rode up the dock, especially with an empty trailer. Then, realizing his/her mistake, put the truck in forward, and drove out from under the trailer, since he/she had already disconnected the 5th wheel…

Rev:elderly:

okay, how about this:

The trailer was almost empty, there was something very heavy in the foremost part of the box…

With the 5th wheel disconnected, the driver drove away, removing support that was holding the trailer balanced, tipping the trailer forward…

That way, the rear wheels would not have to rest on anything, the center strut you speak of is placed a bit far to the rear, but is generally in the correct spot, to allow room for the rear 8 wheels of the tractor.

Maybe :q:

Rev:elderly:

I say it’s real, and stand by my 2nd theory…

Rev:elderly:

One more time, because I care… :stuck_out_tongue:

The trailer was almost empty, there was something very heavy in the foremost part of the box, such as file cabinets full of paper…

With the 5th wheel disconnected, the driver drove away from the dock as normal, removing support from the front of the trailer, tipping the trailer forward…

That way, the rear wheels would not have to rest on anything, and wouldn’t play in the equation at all, the center strut you speak of is placed a bit far to the rear, but is generally in the correct spot, to allow room for the rear 8 wheels of the tractor.

This is my current theory…

Rev:elderly:

Im not sure what I think anymore.

I did think it was real, but Phil had got me questioning that.

(This is where I would sal hmmmmm…)

But that line belongs to somebody else :stuck_out_tongue:

Just a thought. (as I know didly about trucks) it could be that this pic was taken half way through the process of attempting to disconnect the accident from the dock. If that were the case it might have a fork lift on the back. The center point brace looks like a front mounting brace to me, standard on trucks… but like I said… I’m no real judge of such things.
I still think it’s a pretty good pic… well within the flavor of the excellent game “caption this”.

my caption… hmmm

“why we don’t ship helium balloons in trailers.”

ok… that’s dumb… but I’m not very good at this game.

Look Bob, I told you what would happen if we hired a woman driver…

Oh no, Luke is going to be pissed…
