Sorry if this or a similar question has been asked before, but I couldn’t find anything that would help me.
I’m trying to learn the game design aspect of flash, because I’ve got lots of game ideas, and no way to make them (I prefer flash because I use it alot for websites etc…)
Anyway…I want to build a flash card game, I’d like to start off by building a single player version, then a 2 player version (2 players playing on the same comp) then an online version (I’ve got access to tutorials and books that might help me with that)
My problem is that I haven’t been able to find any tutorials on making a card game. I’ve come across tutorials for side scrolling games, like mario, rpg games like zelda, racing games, games like space invaders… but no card games.
basicly I need info on how to…
Have a deck of cards shuffle, without displaying the same card twice
(I can randonly load images and etc in flash but i can’t shuffle a 52 card deck and not give 2 players the same cards :/)
I need a way for flash to determin who has a higher scoring hand
other then that I need help dealing cards and etc…
(I split what I need help with into seperate parts incase someone knows how to do one and not the other)
I’m not asking anyone to build me the game, or to write everything out for me. I just need a push in the right direction, whether thats a link to a good tutorial(s) or a piece of explained actionscript.
I’d like to make a solitaire game, and games like rummy and crazy eights
I can find links for the game rules if you aren’t familiar with them

P.S. I work with flash alot, but my skills in actionscript are not 100% yet, I know somethings well, and even more things not as well as i should…
P.P.S. Heh sorry almost forgot, I’m using Flash 8 right now, but I also have Flash MX 2004, Flash MX, and Flash 5
