Changing Info Section

Im making a site where i will basically have a top and left side navigation area…all of the information will appear in the same general area…what can I use to change the text, images, and so on in this are alone? I was thinking I could do something with a css object…but I’m not sure what do to…is there a way to pull text from a .txt file…or from another .html file? any ideas?
