I hate christmas.
It’s so wierd, for the larger part of my younger life my mom emphasized the family part and took away the religious and gift giving part, partly because we were fairly poor. My brother and I rarely recieved more than $25 in presents, but we didn’t care. Well I didn’t at least… my brother on the other hand…
Anyway when I eventually left my dad back at the age of 14 to move to New York I have had the worst christmas’ ever because they are filled with gifts and totally deprived of family. I hate getting stuff to try and make up for my families shortcomming and I have spent the last 2 christmas’ and thanksgivings alone, so I just really dislike them.
Teaches kids to be greedy, just like halloween. yargh
You are very right Philbert… Enjoy the famila nd the friends tht you do have… And you should endure that as your Christmas Gift…
There are many people out there… Rev for instance (sorry for using your name in such a manner and I hope that you can forgive me my friend)… that do not have a solid family anymore…
So… Cherish what you have… And not what you want… For if you keep wanting more and more things out of the norm, you forget about the things that do care…
