was hoping you guys could help me cause I haven’t done many domain transfers.
my client just phoned me, sounds like he’s messed up something with his mail. He bought his domain from 1&1 but then bought a hosting account with site5.com, so last night he changed the DNS settings on his domain to transfer it to site5. This morning when he checked his address it had changed from 1&1s holding page to a directory structure. He then added some email addresses to his site5 account and thats when the problems started. Here is the post he sent me

I changed the DNS settings last night on all my domains. This
has enabled me to park them with site5. It seems following this that my 1&1
webmail account has stopped working but seems to be causing a conflict with the
new account (same email address) I have set up with site5. As I have sent a
number of test emails from another account and I am getting an error message
back:
When trying to deliver your message, the mail server at mail.another.com
encountered
problems with the following addresses:

When I send a test to myself and my other account, from the 1&1 webmailer, it is
not recieved anywhere.
But when I send an email to myself (davidmurray@**********) as well as
my other account (different address), using the site 5 web mailer (which I am
using now) it is recieved into all mailboxes but the 1&1.
Do I need to delete the 1&1 account for everything to work correctly?
…
Well does he?
Help please, I’m supposed to call him back like 5 minutes ago…
