I’m looking for a tutorial on collapsible interface panels as seen in many flash sites: 2advanced as well as eclectrogeek. Anyone knoww where to find one? I’ve searched for an hour and might be using the wrong words to search. Thanks a mil!

What do u mean by "collapsible interface panels " :sigh:
I’m referring to the opening and closing of the main window as if shutters. Onclick, the panels (doors) open, moving on the y axis. I’m trying to get an understanding of how this is possible, whether through motion twening or actionscripts. www.2advanced.com is an example
Stuff like on 2advanced and my site aren’t found in any tutorial, its all created through experimenting. A lot of it is basically motion tweens as far as my site goes. I’m not an AS guru so I rely on the basics to create my effects.
So start out learning all the basics like motion tweening and guides if you haven’t done so and then try to recreate an effect you see.
You’ll learn a lot more by trying to recreate it than asking how it’s done. Good luck. =)
Thanks for the advice. I 'm more of the type that reads as much as possible before diving in on a subject. But you have inadvertently pointed me in a direction… I’ll experiment with line guides and motion tweening to see if I can get a feel… Thanks EG… Have a good one.
