This is a project I have been working on in class. We had to take an existing website and redesign it. I have been toying around with some concepts and came up with this horizontal layout. It is a compromise with the instructor, the original was vertical but wasted too much space on a 1024x768 screen.
This is a rough and would be done in flash with the buttons being mouseovers that effect the gorilla.

Any input on layout would be appreciated.
P.S. I know the font is diffucult to read and may be replaced with futura as in the vertical comp but it follows the logo.
hmm not diggin the main text layou- needs to fit cleaner
and there is no indication as to what page the user is on
Peace
sorry, it is just rough, I will post another version with modifications tomorrow
i like the nav and the gorilla thing:)
but i don’t like the text, i’m sorry
here is an updated version with some actual content.
the left half will be flash and the right html, positioned with CSS. the content will be scrollable overflow.
Very much better on the content now
I like your nav and style… good one…
content layout is great now
thx for input. will be sure to post final product to be finished in about a week or two. all i have to do now is slice it (redo the animation for a horizonal theme) and plug the content.
