Yikes so little time. Ive to do a five page flash site over the weekend. Whats the fastest way of doin it in terms of layout. Im not sure if i should use scenes or load the swf’s in. I want to make the transitions from one page to the other seamless. for example http://www.samanthamumba.com/site/site.php
Can you guys help or point me in the right direction.
i love the comboboxes!
i would make a more “elegant” scrollbar… i think its too big for this site…
and it would be great to see a less blurred photo…
great job
Sorry site isnt mine.
I really like the preloader at the bottom left. The way you remain on the current page and see the progress of the next page being loaded. Would I be right in saying the next page is being loaded on a level above the current page and when the next page is fully loaded and appears the last page is unloaded? I want the current page not to disapear until the preloader to the next page goes to 100% hence creating no blank page with a preloader in between swf’s.
No… are you? If you pay closer attention you’ll see that they are loading all external swfs into a shell, at the very beginning the shell loaded a few images, and a few frames with animations in them. When you click on another section instead of doing a fullscreen preloader he just drops it to the bottom of the current stage and then loads the content into a preadjusted movieclip. You can tell because when you click on the links the motions happen before the external swfs load. Making it seamless.
The tutorial I linked you is a means to an end… not the solve all.
