I am building a site that will display many different SWF files stacked in layers that can be turned on and off to display various geological formations and topographical information.
I need to control these layers with a menu that is outside of the main swf movie so that one can zoom in and out without loosing sight of the menu.
My question is, how do I get the buttons in the menu.swf to control the layers loading and unloading in the console.swf.
An example is here www.zokrocks.com/Beta1. The problem with this one is that when you right click and zoom in on the map the buttons go with it. Therefore I need to seperate out the menu from the console but do not know what the proper syntax is for controling what happens in the console with the menu once seperated.
