Hm, an interesting idea came to me while I was listening to Good Charlotte’s new album (The Chronicles of Life and Death), and I was reading an article about how the human ear starts damaging at around 80 decibles.
I suddenly had a sudden urge to know how loud the sound thats constantly being pumped into my ears actually is.
This lead to my idea… wouldn’t it be awsome to have a Computer Decibel Output Meter? If anyone would like to program one that would be sooo awsome.
Like, I was thinking a little bar thing above your system tray, and a decible scale… 0 to… say… whatever the max is… and you can change the length… reposition it to be vertical… dock it… whatever.
An interesting project, don’t you think? Any one want to take it up? I’m a complete newbie to C++ and I won’t be able to do it.
