Construction company logo help

I am working on a logo with the letter M as the main focus. Does anyone have any suggestions on making a logo for a construction company. Ive been fiddling around with different tools/bolts, but it is coming out very BLAH! any help would be appreciated!

I like the idea with the beam, it definitely got me thinking in a different direction. Where abouts are you located? Do you do freelance work?

i’ve seen some game icons (or maybe leaflets) with a construction worker as the main part of the logo, with the yellow helmet, muscular body and looking far ahead. I thought it very much conveyed the ‘construction worker’ feeling…

I’d recommend looking at communist propaganda posters (WWII/cold war). They are great source of art !
