Cpu tests?

There use to be this site where you can pick pretty much any processor -even Mac’s- and see how they compare to AMD/Intel in applications. I am wondering how fast an Intel Quad is compared to the $1100 Imac - trying to decide if the Intel will be better for after effects/3d and cheaper to build than buying the Imac. Anyone know of such a site?

Usually best just to go by the 3dMark score as it rates the CPU and GPU separately. If you get those scores online for both (make sure they are not the overall scores though) you should be able to compare them nicely. I forget if the newest 3d mark does quad core i’m sure it probably does.
