Ok… I am shooting for the moon here but i don’t really have any time constraint to achieve this. Here goes…
I am trying to do help people at my work who are unskilled at actionscript and xml drop content into a number of flash templates. I am hoping to do this with images, text and video.
i plan to build a drag and drop style application (a bit like idvd) to work with a few simple and specific templates. Hopefully you will see a rough preview in the application:puzzle: .
Ok i then want to hit a submit button which will either edit or create an xml(s). Ok there will then be a .fla (maybe a couple?) file which they can open - hit publish straight away and viola - instant multimedia presentation.
I know this all sounds a bit McDonalds but it is more of a challenge for me than anything else.
Would Flash be the thing to build the app in - does actionscript 2 have a function for creating XML files. Or is there another program more suitable for this purpose?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I am still coming to terms with all the terms and everything ->> I have really started learning flash with a focus on keeping it all modular.
