I’m in the starting process of designing a new site for a client. One of the key things they wanted me to implement in the design process was to give the impression of a truly national business; they mentioned they had already lost contracts because their clients assumed they were based in Kent. This is mostly due to the fact that most of their testimonials and key projects were in that area.
Anyway I’m having some troubles with this. My first thought was to include some suggestive imagery, such as a map or an outline of Britain, into the design but just sticking in a random image somewhere on the site was never really something I implored (I can’t stand sites with random stock images all over that don’t achieve anything).
So now I’m trying to focus more on how the content is arranged and displayed but like I said before most of their past work is based in Kent, or at least the work they want to showcase is.
Anyway any ideas on how you would approach this would be great!
