First you have to make your object editable mesh. then you have to click on the red box icon in under editable mesh-Then just scroll down the panel and there you should see: Extrude and under it Bevel, just select one of them, click on the object and a place in your object you want to extrude and click on the little arrow net to extrude so the settings number changes. tha tway you will see your object extruding or beveling…hope this made any sence, you can also check a tut: http://www.cfxweb.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=187 and follow the first steps about extruding beveling works the same way, like other said to me show us what you have created then;)
Great Work Roxana… :thumb:
My tick of approval…
Thank you, but i would really want the Kirupa seal:blush:
hehe… so when we seeing this in flash?
I am trying my best, before December. Its really hard making the file size small when you have moving 3d stuff:puzzle:
thats the trick… 3d stuff needs to be for a high bandwidth flash site, other than that you can use static 3d images. and just animate the section of the image that need it. messy but efficient.
what I do sometimes (and currently doing with my site) is a batch optimize in ps of a animation sequence. Then take advantage of flash’s optimization. Might help.
Also when possible use instances of 3d elements. Try to break your story board down into elements which can stand alone. It may make animation and your timeline a lil more tricky but will save bandwidth.
Well, for the people who are still looking for the url of that site VisualAid was talking about, it’s www.xenomorphic.co.uk .
And that’s a really nice monitor :thumb: But who’s that Billy you keep talking about?
anyway Sonic Flash i got your pm, could you post what you have created till now? So i could help you make it look a little better?:+)
Ow yeah right! Amazing, I thought about his site this morning… I knew I saw it somewhere, but it was a while ago and I didn’t know who or where anymore… And it was that one! Absolutely jaw-dropping site/intro. Amazing…
I’m thinking about getting into 3D too… So, what’s best? Probably get 3dsmax and start doing some tutorials, right?
I would say LW but max has a bunch of resources…
