what’s the secret guys to creating a successful loop?
I’ve tried using goldwave and soundforge but both programs put a fraction of silence at either end of the track when I save it which means I no longer have a continuous loop.
download loops from FlashKit. Or get a really good mixer and make your own sounds. They are much better than those programs at slicing and editing your sounds.
I used to write techno music and would always have to fudge the same sort of scenario when I used and tweaked a sample.
Here’s a really good tip: try cutting very little snips off of the end until it loops correctly. I’ve found that something is taking just a hair to process that loop and although it might seem very small compared to a second, the human ear is very keen on picking up such a small glitch (just like a teeny tiny skip in a CD).
By cutting just a little off of that fourth beat (or third if you’re working in 3/4 time), it will loop it just right.
But only try this as a last resort. Always look at the soundwave in Flash first and get your out time right on the end of where the flatline starts.
many thanx for the feedback buddy…
however I’ve spent many a session trying to get rid of that silence that the program insists on inserting at the beginning and end of the trax…to the point of I said ah to heel with it and gave up in the end.
I’ve got lots of superb music I could cut into loops but I’m unable to do it because of this problem.
many thanx,
Mike…:o
