I have a piece of music I edited into a perfect loop thru a sound editing program, but I cant seem to make it loop perfectly when I insert the sound into my flash file. Can anyone help?
what u mean loop perfectly
Basically make a 6 second music piece sound like one loooong music piece without notice of interuption, so that you cant tell/hear its looping.
i think people have had this same problem because they used mp3s instead of reduced wavs, try using a wave, not an mp3… or check the phorums with the search option
hi krillz …
that problem u have sounds pretty darn familiar
this is what works for me …
-
open a new flash movie … make the filesize 10 by 10 or some
like that and import your loop
make sure that you have enough frames on your layer
e.g. the entire loop should be visible on the layer …
for 10 sec. loop i usually have between 100 / 150 frames -
now click anywhere on the loop and look at the properties bar
at the bottom of your screen …
make sure you have these settings :[sound] = your loop
[effect] = i use no effects … u can if u want to
[sync] = i set it to “start”
[loop] = 5 for now … we’ll change it to infinite lateonce you’ve done this click on the “edit” button
-
a window will open where you can edit your loop as with a
regular sound editing programnow the thing is … flash adds a small “silent” part to your loop
so no matter how perfect your loop is … in flash it won’t sound
right at first …this said …
in the edit window you’ll see a bar in the middle
at the very beginning of the bar there is a handle which you
can drag to the right and left …
the trick is to drag the handle slightly to the right so that you
remove the small “flat” line at the start of your loop
place the handle at “real” beginning of your loop
press ok and CTRL+F12 to check if it loops goodonce it does … go back to flash again …
click anywhere in your loop …
goto properties bar and set [loop] to 9999999 or some like that
to make it infiniteet voila … you got yourself perfect loop
i hope this doesn’t sound like **** to you …
it may take some tweaking but once you get the hang of it
this really pays off …
if you don’t understand something please let me know
lat0rrrrrrrrrrr
