Crossover troubles

I have a crossover cable connecting my XP laptop and XP PC and the 1394 connection is connected. But how do I access the files on my computer? sorry, but i’m new to this.

Okay, no i’m getting errors saying ’ The following steps of the repair operation failed: Renewing the IP address.’. Anyone?
