I am mocking up a website in FLASH CS3, but the IDE is so slow compared to Flash 8. Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this too.
I am working with several rounded rectangles in different sizes. I use 9-slice scaling to re-use the same object over and over again. Somehow, my CPU usage boosts up to 100% (well, 50%, but it’s on one CPU core) and i have to wait for about 3 seconds every time i select another rectangle. Don’t have to tell you that this sucks pretty hard… weird thing is that my laptop is pretty new and very powerfull. When i do the same thing in Flash 8, everything runs smooth. Seems it’s related to Flash CS3. To strengthen my story, I added some screenshots:
This happens when i select another rectangle
**The exact same action, but executed within Flash 8:
BTW: it can’t be my system specs, since that’s 2gb ram, 2.0 GHz dual core Intel (no core2duo though) , very fast harddrive and an nvidia 110 nvs graphic card.
