Just confirming, no idea if this is ancient or whatnot.
OSX CS3; Put an illegal value for width, height, x or y (like, say a ‘q’ in any of them) in the properties panel for an asset. Press enter. You’ll get the error message illegal yadi yada.
After that the default tools shortcuts (V for select, Z for zoom etc) just die.
