I recently upgraded to Flash MX 2004 and had to make a lot of alterations to a site for someone (created by someone else with Flash 4 and a few of the files had been modified in Flash 5). What I was running into is the larger files would make csrss.exe run at 100% cpu and imagine trying to edit a paragraph of text and spending 20 minutes doing it. Kind of annoying since I told the person about 2 hours rate to make the appropriate changes and had to stick to my bid. I installed Flash 5 thinking maybe that would help and didn’t seem to make a difference, so I buckled down and finished the work.
Never could find out what caused it.
