I have created several Flash files for a client, but never provided .fla files, only .swf files. Our cooperation ended last month (after several years) and the client requested source files. I refused to do so – most of the .fla files used components bought from Flashloaded.

Today I’ve discovered that the client hired someone to decompile the .swf files. I had to do something I never thought I would have to do – and decompile the new .swf to see whether they coded it themselves. But they still use the ActionScript of the component, together with my images, of course. I’m quite certain the client didn’t purchase the components himself, he doesn’t even know how and where.
