Design company in need of ASP & PHP programmer(s)

I operate a small but successful company offering web development, graphic design & multimedia services in Florida (since 2002). I’d be glad to tell any serious candidates more about the business but I’d prefer keeping it off the public forum just in-case a client came across the site… My programmer/buddy has taken a full-time job and is no longer able to meet our clients’ needs in a timely fashion. I am looking for a flexible, experienced programmer to work part-time on a per-project basis. I’d estimate we’re talking about 5-8 hours a month on code updates/changes for 2 or 3 existing production sites, with the possibility of working on a large (100 hours?) site development project looming in the Fall/Winter of '07.

** Tasks/projects include:**

  1. several small modifications on existing ASP/.NET site. This site is essentially a proprietary MLS system and the client just needs occasional changes/additions to the feature-set. For example adding some fields to the listings template, creating new categories, managing admin users, etc.

  2. several small tweaks involved with polishing the front-end of an existing php site.

  3. Looming redesign of an existing ASP site. Will be a substantial amount of Flash (done by our team) integrating with either ASP/SQL or PHP/mySQL. Programmer will be closely involved in the estimate/proposal process.

  4. Available for consultation on estimates/proposals for any additional programming projects that come up.

** Personal Skills:**
Must be self-motivated, organized and a solid communicator. Work at your own pace on large projects, but quick turn-around is needed on certain updates/changes. Will work directly with Lead Designer (me) over IM, email, & phone - little to no direct contact with the end-customer will be necessary. No offense to internationals, but English as a first language would be highly preferred.

Any server admin experience is a huge plus. Experience/knowledge of marine markets & terminology would be a plus as well, but not needed.

Happy to pay a premium for someone who can get it done right in a timely fashion. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience - not to exceed $50/hour on pure programming tasks. Must be able to present us with a detailed invoice or hour sheet each month.

If you’re in Florida you get to visit the company tiki bar any time. That is not a joke.

Please PM me if you’re interested or know someone who may fit the bill…

thanks & cheers
