Ok, so a friend of mine has asked me to design a logo for his/his friend’s group, Missoula Parkour Group, or MPG. I designed one and all is well, except for one point on which we disagree: Whether the M and the P should be connected. Here are the examples of how it looks with/without the connection.

Which do you guys prefer and why? I won’t divulge my personal opinion lest it influence responses 
. Also, it should be explained that the unconnected one is preferred for readability of the letters, and that it’s feared that it will be read as NPG or some such. Thanks in advance for critique/opinions.
