I’m not super experienced with flash, but I just finished creating some banner ads for a freelance client. The ad involves a button that has a hover state. But as most banner ads do, it requires a clicktag. So because the clicktag button covers the entire stage, the hover doesn’t function. I told them that the hover button would be purely cosmetic, and they’re fine with that. But what is the best way to handle it? My solution was to place the button layer above the clicktag, and give it the same code. Will this be a problem? Is there a way for me to make the button ‘transparent’ so that you can see and hover over it but when you click on it, you’re actually clicking the clicktag button underneath it?
