I’m creating a flash movie that will be display on 50" lcd monitors. The pixel sizes of the monitor is 3232 x 1764, bigger then the allowed maximum sizes of the flash layout (2880x2880).
note: the movie is not embeded into an HTML page, it plays from a standalone pc.
question>>>>
A) is it possible to scale, when publishing the flash movie (.swf) bigger then 2880 ?
B) how can I hide the x + - butons on the top left corner when viewing the .swf movie?
Place this on the first frame of your movie, it will scale your movie to fullscreen.
fscommand("fullscreen", true);
Here’s a tip as well, if you’re using raster images in your movie, make sure they’re created for the large resolution. If you make stuff that is smaller, they will get pixelated when scaled up.
Try to use as much vector graphics as possible because they don’t get pixelated when scaled up.
yap I’m using it for display purposes not for the web.
Thanka for the tips on image size and tyoe, electrogeek. When I was testing my movie on the big screen I had that wonderful surprise, so I have resize all my images and graphics to flash maximum sizes. I get to test again on afew daya on teh big screne so I let you knwo how it turn out by using fscommand. I still think that since the image will only be 2880 high and I need 3132 high , it wil not fill up th screen even at full screen.
1- no matter how it looks in your monitor, it will not look the same in the big screen.
solution: design and test as much as you can on the actual screen(s) that the final projector file will be display on.
2- if you are using a Mac (like me) and then using a PC to run the windows .exe projector file, don’t be surprise if thinks are missing like sounds and small animations.
solution: design and test as much as you can on the actual screen(s) that the final projector file will be display on. And include all sounds in the same folder as the projector file is located, it worked for me
3- resolution and dpi looks one way in you screen , but not on 50" screen, AGAIN
test test test on actual screen
4- use the fscommand to display full screen with out the top left buttons that appear when you publish your swf
5- keep posting questions and comments in this forum. lots of help out there
