Desktop font color

Running Windows XP. My desktop font colors are suddenly white with a black shadow. How can I get back to default?

THANKS!

Jeff

Thats not how they are supposed to be? Thats how mine are :-/

It might have to do with the colour of your background?

No, as far as I can tell those are the default colours. Either way, if you right click on the desktop, then choose the Appearance tab, everything you need is in there.

Yeah - the odd looking colors often happen if you installed the graphics drivers incorrectly or your system ran out of RAM to display the graphics and colors. You may want to first try Copper’s suggestion and change to a different color scheme

Thanks guys. Things went weird after I changed my background color to white. But I’ve done that before and my font color’s remained black. This “white with black shadow” is lookin’ mighty blurry. I’ll sleuth around the Appearance section some more.

Thanks again!

Jeff

right click my computer - go to advanced… select “settings” under the performance area…then scroll to the bottom and uncheck…
“use drop shadows for icon labels on desktop”

then click apply/ok

shadow under font will be gone - its the default look for XP to have that drop shadow.

Rock on, my man! I’ll give it a shot when I get back to the office.

Thanks!

Worked like a charm! Thanks!!!
