Desktop to Laptop Sync

My boss has a laptop he barelly uses because it’s there is too much knowledge involved in syncing his stuff between the two, and I can’t make his laptop use a pop3 acount basicly because there might end up some lost mails on either machine.

I’d like to use something like activeSync only between a desktop and a laptop.

I’ve looked at that briefcase workaround, but my boss hasn’t got enough computer knowledge to use that. That would confuse his mind into a knot, and he’d only use it to sync certain files, not Outlook.

The main point for this would be to get Outlook working in both computers.
Although I could put his pst in a server folder accessible to those two computers, that would mean his Outlook on his laptop would only work on company grounds, not at home. This is pretty useless. The point of the laptop is home use as well as company use.

So…
Does anyone know of an ActiveSync sort of Program for Windows that syncs Outlook from a Desktop to a laptop across a Wifi lan?

IMAP?

You can sync up Outlook folders between computers using http://www.foldershare.com

I’ve been using this program for a while now to have a remote backup of all my files spread across several comps. It is done automatically, so you or your boss will never have to fiddle with it after it has been setup initially.
