Desperately need help in combining playing 2 flash scenes in AS2

Hi there. I’m still a newbie at this program, I’ve wasted a lot of time tryin to figure out and resarching for solutions on how to play the 2 scenes I have created in flash. Scene 1 is a plane animation while the 2nd one is a time based animation that depends on the time in your computer. The movie should be played scene 1 first then scene 2. I have tried the gotoAndplay AS script but it doesnt work. Thanks in advance.
