I developed an Actionscript/Flash-based online tutorial for a client to help his clients go through various documents. I’m looking at it now and realize that other companies could use this too. We didn’t sign a contract (it was a small project for someone I know). I am wondering what the legalities are. We never talked about who own the rights to the software, etc. Does he own the right to all the source code? If I rewrote the source (which I would for production) but the program still worked the same could I sell licenses to other companies?
I don’t know much about this and would appreciate any help!
