I keep seeing around the place diagonal lines used as backrounds for stuff like websites, sigs and so on. I was wondering if anyone had any idea why so many people use them? Or moreso what is it about them that makes them attractive? I thought that maybe if i could work this out maybe that would help me get ideas on how to create a similar effect.
any ideas?
