Hello!
I’m sure that most of us here have known about a certain problem in Flash and that is: well buttons are still clickable even when there is a Movie Clip over it.
Take for example if you have an MC that is draggable and you happen to drag it over a button. Sure the MC covers the button but it doesn’t disable it. It still is clickable. How can we go about this problem?
I’ve recently succeeded in making a Flash scrollbar complete with up and down arrows and scrollbar track it really functions like the real thing but when I pressed on the scrollbar, it moves unwantedly because the track is also clicked at the same time.
I don’t know I’m unhatched as of the moment!
:hangover:
To disable the button try to perform a hit test between the Dragable MC and the button underneath. Then say if the hittest=1 then tell target goto and stop 2
hittest=0 then tell target goto and stop 1
“Put the button into a MC and put two frames in the MC, the first frame containes an active button and the second frame containes a nonactive clone of the button.”
Of course, the above is not the actuall scripting but I hope you get the idea. If you want I could try it out over the weekend for you.:thumb:
actually I know how to do that it’s just that for that simple a fact it should have been done by Macromedia themselves. I don’t know I just removed the code on my scrollbars track to solve the problem. I think they try to compensate for this by providing us with components. But I really don’t like using them.
Thanks man for the help!
BTW your footer is great but I think you should follow the footer size and rules so it would not be replaced with a Kirupa footer say: “footer does not adhere to rules” or something. Hopw you win!
Thanks for lettn me know!!
I thought I already changed it, but i guess not. Hey, by any chance do you know why my thread is “locked” in the footer contest section??? I was hoping to get some feedback, but for some reason you cant post on it!!
I think the mods closed it. I don’t know. But they are the only one capable of locking or closing of threads!
