A lot of AI product talk seems to assume people want the sci-fi version — the smooth voice, the invisible help, the whole “computer just knows” thing. In practice, I keep wondering whether that only works until something goes sideways and nobody can see what the system was doing.
Has anyone shipped an AI feature where showing more of the process actually made people trust it more, even if it felt less magical?
